The gorgeous Khanyi rocked in a Posh supplied statement-making butterfly design dress and turned heads at Sun City

Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat feeds were teeming with pictures of the actress being shared by proud Zimbabweans as they recognised the Posh dress.

The dress which was on display at Posh’s Joina City branch got snatched by Khanyi and she couldn’t wait to immerse herself in it judging by her Instagram caption.

She couldn’t have picked a better dress as the eye-popping butterfly inspired one-shouldered gown gave her a whimsical look.

Nomathemba Primrose Ndebele the proprietor of Posh has created a fashion empire with some of the biggest designer names in the fashion business.

Her gorgeous dresses and accessories have passed through some of the best red carpet events in Africa and have held the front pages of fashion magazines making Posh one of the most valuable boutiques in the region.

This year’s ceremony was hosted by Thando Thabete and Phat Joe.

It was themed “Our Stories Are Gold’ in honour of “those who have captured our hearts, minds and imaginations through the telling of our unique stories.”

Anto Evicted from BBNaija House as Big Brother reveals a new twist!

It was the end of the road for Anto as she was voted out of the Big Brother Naija house during eviction show on Sunday, 18 March having only secured 5.28% of the total votes.

Anto                                                                                                                                                         Picture supplied

She becomes the 11th housemate to leave the house after she was nominated alongside fellow housemates, Tobi, Cee C, Miracle, Teddy A, Bam Bam, Alex and Lolu for possible eviction the week before.

While on stage with the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Anto disclosed that she had a premonition she was going to be evicted that night, even though she had hopes of clinching the grand prize.

When Ebuka asked who she thought nominated her, she quickly mentioned the duo of Cee C and Nina. It came as a bit of a surprise to her when it was revealed that it was indeed Cee C and Bam Bam.

On her experience in the house, she described it as “weird”, saying she thought it would be a bit easier but nonetheless grateful for the experience as she probably wouldn’t have the other housemates in any other situation.

Meanwhile, fans of the show were eager to know about her presumed ‘love triangle’ with Lolu and Tobi. In her response, Anto admitted that Tobi caught her eye first but she couldn’t bond with him as Cee C ‘grabbed’ him quickly in the game. She connected more with Lolu and said he would most probably be referred to as her romantic partner in the house.

It was not only Anto’s eviction that got viewers buzzing. During the show, Big Brother issued Tobi a strike for disregarding his rules and engaging in a conversation with Lolu and Anto over Cee C which Big Brother labelled conspiracy. This earned him a strike, bringing his total strikes to two.

Living up to the theme of the show, Ebuka announced that this week, the public will be voting to bring back two of their favourite evicted housemates. The two housemates that make it back into the House will return as individuals and will compete for the prize.

Sunday’s eviction show opened with a sultry performance by popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Simi. She performed her hit songs, ‘Joromi’ and ‘O wa nbe’.

Beyonce & Rihanna’s Former dancer releases video produced in Zimbabwe

American dancer-cum musician Gshytt has released his new video shot in Zimbabwe titled Vibe Is Right.

Gshytt

Gshytt comes from a dancing background and has done work with the likes of LeBron James, Rihanna, Ciara, Beyonce and more.

Vibe is Right is off his debut album As Promised and that single was created specifically with an African focus.

Filming was done between 3 and 5 January 2018 with a troupe of dancers converging, to contribute to a story bursting at the seams of the regions Wakanda heritage links.

Two dancers of incredible repertoire, Kendra KO Oyesanya and Makia, flew in from the United States for the shoot.

Kendra gained international fame for the video of her and crew walking out of a theatre after watching The Black Panther and breaking into formation. The video went viral and was even shared by Ellen Degeneres.

Makia most recently featured on a Jason Derulo video.

A Harare model, the stunning Tania Tatenda Aaron, played Gshytt’s love interest.

About why he chose Zimbabwe as a location, Gshytt was pretty clear about dealing with the story of Africa and connecting with his roots. He said, “We wanted to show the more beautiful parts of Africa in this music video because many people have a big misconception of the continent. I also felt at home”.

And we get that from the intro of the video, the distinct safari experience abundant in Zimbabwe right from the fore, throughout.

With the award-winning Vusa Blaqs directing, the locations were the scenic, resplendent and enigmatic Vumba with a few shots from Forest Hills Hills Resort in the as well as the endearing Antelope Park in the Midlands.

Beyond selling Zimbabwe as a destination for tourist experiences of nature in its virgin form, Gshytt and his crew, while on their way to Vumba spent time at the market in Rusape where they spent hard US Dollar cash buying wares from the community.

Rising production house African Fire Media who have been involved in a dozen videos including Tamy Moyo’s Beautiful Ndozvandiri, Ammara & Chengeto Brown’s Wachu Want and Bryan K’s Heavy Machine were critical for the production.

Providing support were Honde Valley TV, Denzel Alpha and Misheck Rusere who did the behind the scenes shots.

Windies overcome late scare to beat Zim – Here is What the loss means

The Windies averted disaster and swung the Cricket World Cup Qualifier back their way after chasing down Zimbabwe’s 289 in a tense Super Six game at Harare Sports Club.

Brendan Taylor of Zimbabwe hits out during The Cricket World Cup Qualifier between The Windies and Zimbabwe at The Harare Sports Club on March 19, 2018 in Harare, Zimbabwe (©ICC).

While a win for Zimbabwe would have confirmed their spot in the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales, the result put the Windies top of the table and means both sides require wins in their final Super Six matches to guarantee their qualification for the tournament.

After Brendan Taylor’s superb 138 had guided the hosts to a strong total, West Indies put together a succession of telling partnerships to secure victory despite Zimbabwe threatening yet another dramatic comeback.

Chris Gayle got things off to a brisk start by striking consecutive sixes off Sikandar Raza in a breezy 13-ball 18. Zimbabwe were delighted to get him early – caught at third man off Blessing Muzarabani (2/36) – but they would have to wait a while longer for any further breakthroughs.

Evin Lewis batted well alongside No.3 Shai Hope to compile 64 – including seven fours and a six – before departing caught and bowled to Raza in the 22nd over.

Hope and Player of the Match Marlon Samuels then set about putting the Windies in charge, milking the Zimbabwe attack and gradually accelerating to get their team within striking distance of the total at 245/2.

Samuels was furious with himself for falling caught behind to a Muzarabani slower ball in the 44th over for 86, and he might have been even more upset had he known the collapse that would ensue.

Hope was out just five balls later for 76, to a brilliant catch in the deep by Raza off the left-arm spin of Sean Williams. Now it was 249/4 in the 45th with two new batsmen at the crease, both of whom – Shimron Hetmyer (13) and Jason Holder (6) – were out in the 46th to leave the WIndies 265/6. Zimbabwe had taken four wickets in three overs while Windies – with Hetmyer having come out all guns blazing – had put on 22 runs.

With the crowd a-buzz and sensing yet another comeback win from Zimbabwe, it took cool heads and cautious batting from Rovman Powell (15*) and Ashley Nurse (8*) to see their team over the line in the end. The pair picked up 10 singles, a two, two boundaries and two extras to reach the 21 required from the last four overs, which was achieved with an over to spare.

Royal Bee brings the Depths of the Simplicity of Love in Ndongoda Iwe

Musician Royal Bee real name Brighton Chigwida trades his favourite holy waters for the pan and pots in an introductory scene to his video Ndongoda Iwe.

In the video, the wife played by a beautiful short-haired girl whose beaming smile is a constant feature throughout, Royal Bee is in the kitchen making something for the first lady in his life.

This video reminds us of how powerful and captivating a simple storyline can be, especially when the song talks about the universal language of love.

Simple in the fact that the cast has people who look just like us with no exaggerated looks, the lady deliberately has short, untreated hair showing off her natural beauty.

The greatest difference between “Ndongoda Iwe and other videos which attempt to tell the same topic of love and affection is in its ultimate focus.

Its focus is on love and how uncomplicated it can be if we just let it be, which is the underlying story.

In the video, Royal Bee creates an environment on the stage where he was merely an intermediary for the audience to experience the life of two lovebirds.

From the Kitchen scene to the shores, he brought the depths of his heart and his emotions to life.

Four Goals, One assist – The Magic of Mo Salah

Mohamed Salah hit four goals and created the other to make history in Liverpool’s 5-0 rout against Watford as snow fell at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah Picture- Daily Star

The conditions could not stop the man who has now scored more times in a debut season – 36 – than any other player in Reds history.

The Egyptian was in superlative form as he took his tally for the season so far to 36 in all competitions and moved four clear ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot.

Salah opened the scoring after just four minutes as snow fell inside Anfield, twisting beyond Miguel Britos before stabbing home to set the Reds on their way to a commanding triumph.

His second – arriving just before half-time – owed much to Sadio Mane and Andy Robertson’s combination down the left, resulting in the latter crossing for the No.11 to tap in.

Salah then set up Roberto Firmino for a third just after half-time, before he completed his hat-trick with a brilliant solo goal as he bewildered a collection of Hornets defenders inside the area.

The forward slammed in his fourth and Liverpool’s fifth late on and afterwards, Klopp was naturally effusive in praise for his endeavours.

The manager told his post-match press conference: “You can ask about him, but he gave the answer already! He gave it with four goals and if the question is what do I think about that, I think it’s quite exceptional.

“It was another good performance in a very difficult game in a very impressive manner, coping and dealing with difficult conditions tonight. The whole team did, of course, but around the first goal I would say Mo especially because it was obviously slippery, so everybody suffered – but not Mo in that situation. It was really special scoring that goal.

“The second goal, a fantastic pass from Sadio to Robbo, a fantastic cross and great sprint. Third goal, fantastic situation, Mo and then Roberto. Fourth and fifth goals were outstanding, so that’s all you need to be on the highest level.

“I am really happy about the result, of course, but also the performance because I knew after we made the analysis of the last Watford game, against Arsenal, how difficult it can be [to play them].

They lost that game 3-0 but it was so close, football games can go like this, but in the end we really saw what could happen tonight if we let them do what they wanted to do. And we didn’t in very difficult circumstances, so I’m really happy.”

In front of 7,500 noisy and celebrating spectators, Zimbabwe looked dead and buried when they slipped to 139 for seven in the 34th over after being sent into bat, before Sikandar Raza’s undefeated 69 lifted them to 211 for nine.

Left-arm spinner Tendai Chisoro then followed up his 21 with the bat to pick off three frontline batsmen as Ireland slipped to 54 for five, before Graeme Cremer ran through the middle and lower-order with three for 18 as the 2009 qualifier champions were dismissed for 104.

The victory helped Zimbabwe join Scotland on five points and ahead in first place on net run-rate, while Ireland were left with two points in fourth position.

Both sides have two matches remaining, with Zimbabwe to square off against the Windies and the United Arab Emirates on 19 and 22 March, respectively, while Ireland have tricky matches against Scotland and Afghanistan on 18 and 23 March, respectively.

A selection of Super Six matches including the final will be broadcast live on SuperSport.

The West Indies and Scotland are in prime position to make the 2019 cricket showpiece event in England and Wales as they occupy first and second spot respectively on the table by the points gained in the group stages against nations who have also progressed to this round.

The group stage results between nations who progress beyond the group stages are carried forward to the Super Six round, with the points gained against nations who failed to progress beyond the group stages falling away.

Each team will then play the qualifiers from the other group.

The top two teams at the end of the Super Six stage earn qualification to the world cup and contest a final to determine the winner of the tournament.

Zimbabwe and Ireland are hot on the heels of the West Indies and Ireland, and it’s going to be a four-way battle as to which two nations make the world cup.
