Jah Prayzah and Charles Mabika just did the Worst Song ever for Our Warriors

MTV Award winning singer Jah Prayzah has teamed up with veteran football commentator Charles Mabika to record a song for the Warriors.

Jah Prayzah and Charles Mabika

The song is titled “Handei MaWarriors” and its a tribute to the Zimbabwe National Soccer team following their successful 2017 Nations Cup qualifying campaign.

The team broke a 10-year jinx in June of this year when they extinguished The Flames of Malawi 3-0 at the National Sports Stadium in Harare.

Warriors had last qualified for the 2006 event in Egypt under Charles Mhlauri.

Well, We believe this is the worst song ever recorded for our beloved soccer team.

For starters the theme is too tired and overdone, why do we need a song for our soccer team each time they qualify for something big?

The track sounds pretty much the same like a song you would find on Jah Prayzah’s “Jerusarema” album, predictable melody with zero variations.

Charles Mabika delivers what we all expected in his opening remark:

“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the only team from Southern Africa to the 2017 Gabon African Cup of Nations finals tournament, the Warriors of Zimbabwe.”

I have been trying to cover my ears for the whole of yesterday and hoping that our radio stations won’t catch up on the frenzy and cause me to scream on top of my voice each time the track would play.

Something tells us few arguments will be had over this and some spears will be thrown in the direction of the author.

We didn’t expect a better song. No. We expected No Song at all.

WARNING: Bring out the ear plugs and the cotton balls for you are about to enter the “Hall of Shame”

Extra Halloween thrills will be made available to viewers of DStv Compact Plus and Compact bouquets, with the addition of three extra channels for the period from Friday, October 28 to Sunday, October 30.

MultiChoice Zimbabwe publicity and public relations manager Liz Dziva said the three channels, M-Net, M-Net Edge and Vuzu AMP, were normally available only to DStv Premium viewers but would be added to the two Compact bouquets for the Halloween weekend at no extra cost to viewers.

“This is another bonus for DStv viewers after the recent announcement of subscription rate decreases and additional permanent content for many bouquets,” she said.

“Halloween is a time for shock and horror, so it’s a time for a great many themed shows during this action-packed weekend.”

In addition to the special schedule of themed shows, the channels will also feature a range of other standard content that is not Halloween-related, but which can still be enjoyed by the Compact and Compact Plus viewers during their bonus weekend.

“If you’re a DStv Compact Plus or Compact customer, these channels will magically appear on your package, so you don’t even have to lift a finger,” said Ms Dziva.

#WCW: 5 Zim Women We Would Love To See in A Bikini

Let’s face it people.. a fully clothed life is boring,  there are far more important things we could do with cotton other than wearing all of it.

Since that sanctified July 5, 1946, when French designer Louis Reard unveiled a daring two-piece swimsuit at the Piscine Molitor, a popular swimming pool in Paris, our lives as men have never been the same.

Micheline Bernardini

God bless your soul Mr Louis Reard.

One brave model Parisian showgirl Micheline Bernardini modelled the new fashion, which Reard dubbed “bikini.”

In 1946, Western Europeans joyously greeted the first war-free summer in years, and French designers came up with fashions to match the liberated mood of the people.

Just one week before Réard debuted his swimsuit on a Paris runway, the United States dropped an experimental atomic bomb on Bikini Atoll, a chain of islands in the South Pacific.

It was the first atomic test since the end of World War II.  Newspapers were filled with reports of the test and it dominated conversations around the world.

People believed that the size and strength of this bomb would change life on earth as they knew it.  Réard wanted his new swimsuit to have the same effect and named his creation after the island everyone was talking about.

Thus the bikini became a glorious part of our lives.

It’s hard for me to think of summer and not see a bikini in my imagination.

We know Zimbabwe is a landlocked country but we do have some Lakes around the country and since we are in PARTY season we have compiled a list of Zimbabwean Women We Would Love to See in a BIKINI

The one Moment from IDOLS That Got Us All Shocked

In a jaw-dropping result that sent shockwaves in homes and on social media across the country, one of the contestants marked for the Top Three was sent home.

Keegan
Keegan

Keegan Martin, 24, was the surprise contestant who did not get his share of viewers’ votes to keep him on Idols. A judges’ favourite – of whom Randall Abrahams once declared “it ain’t over ‘till Keegan sings” – Keegan’s exit solidified that there’s nothing predictable about Idols SA.

Reacting to Keegan’s exit, Unathi Msengana explained: “It’s been hard to predict what South Africa wants. It’s such a tumultuous and emotional time. Everyone who is here right now deserves to be here; Keegan deserves to be here.”

But the show must go on, and for the first time this season the contestants had to perform two songs chosen by viewers.

Tebogo’s chosen tunes were Intliziyo by Nathi and These Arms by All 4 One.

Lucia sang A Couple of Forevers by Chrisette Michelle and at Last by Etta James.

Thami performed Etta James’ All I Could, as well as Sand Castles by Beyoncé.

Bevin started with Can We Talk by Tevin Campbell and followed up with Diamonds by Rihanna.

Terra Cox’s picks were Celine Dion’s It’s All Coming Back to Me and Sia’s Alive.

Bringing up the rear was Noma with Karabo’s Ngifuna Lo and Jennifer Hudson’s Giving Myself to You.

After the first song, three of the four judges declared Thami the forerunner of the evening after his emotive Etta James heartbreaker song. And in another first this season, Terra received a thumbs down from two judges. Tonight was proving to be a race like no other so far.

The second round of songs saw Tebogo receive positive comments all round, with Somizi Mhlongo not only complimenting the dreadlocked singer’s voice but also his “tight” pants.

Another contestant who received rave reviews was Lucia, whose new curly golden added star quality to her already star look and dazzling voice.

Gareth Cliff predicted that Thami will be South Africa’s own Luther Vandross in a decade or two.

Bevin was declared a “pop star” by Randall, who complimented him on being able to work with the energy of the crowd. Gareth said he had smacked his performance out the ballpark.

Terra Cox’s second performance was his saving grace. Somizi reiterated that he was the best vocalist on Idols, and Gareth said he had shut the show down.

Noma closed the Top Six show with a powerful performance and received some advice from the judges to stop retreating into herself. The confidence she had shown on stage a couple of weeks ago seems to be waning, according to the judges’ comments, who advised her to reclaim her space in the spotlight again.

Next week, one more contestant will be leaving to make way for the Top Five. It’s now crunch time, so if you want to see your favourite, get those thumbs working!

Singer Tamy Just had Her First Fashion Accident

We knew this was coming but it came too early and on a wrong night for the young singer Tamy.

Performing at the monumental flop concert as an opening act for Toya Delazy on Friday night, she decided to come wearing this…

She missed the mark completely…

Well, we have so many questions about this outfit that the 18-year old was rocking….

Don’t you realise that with those ‘wings’ you look like a Lost Angel

Was it really necessary to show that much leg?

Are you sure that you didn’t remove the shower curtains and stitched them together?

Did the designer anticipate a rapture and prepared wings for you (since there was talk of God visiting Zimbabwe sometime this week)

Is that an arm-slit?

What’s all that detail on your tummy?

Oh dear…!

People wanted to hear his acceptance speech, his fans wanted to see their icon dressed up on the red carpert rubbing shoulders with fellow greats.

“But when he told me to announce it during my perfomance i then realised that he was serious, it was such a glorious  moment that even up to now i cant comprehend the excitement.”

“You can expect more and bigger things to come from Jah Prayzah as we extend his brand to Africa and the rest of the world.”

Davido,Tinashe in Beach-Side Romance

After images of our girl Tinashe and Nigerian, Davido found themselves on the social media sometime in July, talk went rife that something was up between the two.

Zimbuzz wrote about it here after The images showed Davido seemingly grabbing Tinashe’s boobs.

Lets get touchy...Davido and Tinashe
Lets get touchy…Davido and Tinashe

We can confirm that something was up…and it was a massive collaboration between the two youthful singers.

Titled ‘How Long‘, the video which was shot in black and white shows Davido taking a beachside motorcycle ride, while Tinashe is on a romantic horse ride through the sand. Eventually, they both find themselves by the water.

The lovebirds eventually meet by the water and there is a lot of some ‘touchy’ moments between the two on a Malibu beach.

The song is taken off Davido’s Son of Mercy EP which dropped this week.

Said Davido about the collaboration:

“For the song, I recorded that record about a year ago. One of the executives at Sony International had the record. He played it for Tinashe, and he asked me if I would like to put her on the record.”

“I thought it was a great idea. We just did it. We shot the video in Malibu. It was beautiful. I feel like it’s something different. I call it Afro Fusion. It has all kinds of music. It has the Afrobeats, it has the house music. Everything just fused together.”
