‘Chombo bought Pokello a Car with Stolen Money’

Queen of Swagger Pokello Nare has been dragged into the alleged messy corrupt dealings involving her stepfather and former Finance minister Ignatius Chombo.

Pokello

Pokello, the State alleges, benefited from stolen money which Mr Chombo used to pamper her with a brand new car a Toyota Hilux Vigo.

The vehicle is listed on a charge sheet where Chombo is facing charges of fraud, criminal abuse of office and contravening the Prevention of Corruption Act.

“A Toyota Hilux Vigo black in colour engine number 1KD 9340021 chasis number MROFZ229GX01516518 was imported and supplied in the name of Pokelo Nare of 222 Samora Machel Avenue in Harare,” alleges the State.

It is the State’s case that Ignatius Chombo applied for capital expenditure loans professedly for agriculture equipment but instead used the money for other things including the purchase of the Toyota Hilux Vigo for Pokello.

Pokello recently scored a Car endorsement deal with SuperStrada, a Zimbabwean luxury car dealership in a deal that will see the company driving her in latest poshy cars.

Two weeks ago Zimbuzz reported that her marriage to former Big Brother Housemate and Ghanaian fashion designer  Elikem Kumordzie was on the rocks.

This came after reports from Ghana media, with high speculation that the two could be headed for divorce.
