Hello – Sorry Wrong Number, Its Freeman

I am not a dancehall enthusiast, but I HAD to tell y’all about this video I stumbled on to in a Kombi during a Traffic Jam somewhere in Harare.

So Freeman launched a DVD Album with a bunch of videos and I got to watch the Hello Video and it Is Brilliant

You can tell there was a script as the story runs so perfectly

Freeman and Juwela
Freeman and Juwela

Freeman calls his girlfriend (Juwela) to tell her that he is coming home from Harare work to see her. He tells her that he misses her and that he has a new phone with a selfie cam.

The girl meanwhile is receiving the call at her rural homestead in the typical Zambia and Dhuku with a bunch of Naysayers.

The story continues as Freeman gets fired for playing on the job, and going home. The faithful girlfriend waits by the bus stop and JUMPS on her man when he arrives.

Fast Forward to the end and Freeman is teaching Bae how to take selfies.

The fashion is on point with the script, its rural chic whilst Freeman is in His HKD boss regalia looking every bit the successful Themba from Town.

The Guest appearances by Juwela and Jeepers add that Fun bit to the video, and yes the WENERA star Muriel is in it making the Hello Video a star-studded 4 minutes.

Zimdancehall really out did itself. The song is quite catchy as well you will be singing along within minutes. So Hello (Not it’s not Adele) is a Dope Clean Dancehall love song.

All in all, I had a great Kombi ride whilst listening to the Song.

In 2017 there will be 27 categories, 16 open to viewers’ deliberations and 11 to be decided by the AMVCA panel of judges.

Ms Dziva said a guideline to entering had been issued, for ease of entry guidelines:

The Boss off to interrogate UK fashion

Zimbabwe’s fiercest style investigator  Tafadzwa The Boss Zimoyo has left for the United Kingdom, for a fashion extravaganza and showcase to be held in Birminghamingham.

He will be representing the Fashion Journalists at the Zimbabwe Fashion Showcase which is Birmingham’s biggest Afrocentric style appear.

This year it’s themed Redefinition.

As far back as that famed Zimbabwe Music Awards fashion review, which appears to have shot him to amazing heights,it has ended up hard to disregard what the man thinks or writes  as far as dressing is concerned

He is one individual who gives his assessment with no idea whether he will get welcomed back to the next event or not.

That’s just him.

With the Lake July DJ celebration commencing this week, that implies the Boss will pass up a great opportunity for the prominent occasion. It was going to intriguing to see what he was going to say as far as Lakeside fashion is concerned.

The Bss at the
The Boss at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards

Earlier this year he missed the Zimdancehall Awards to go and attend the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards in Nigeria and those that chose to dress weirdly at the dancehall awards got a pass.

Even though we are yet to be privy to what he is going to wear on the red carpet, we know the Boss has a set of immutable fashion rules and we shall wait to have our social media news feed get dominated by pictures.

5 Reasons why you Should NOT watch 8L’s video Mainini

So rapper 8L dropped the video to chart-topping hit Mainini which features erstwhile dancehall star Tocky Vibes.

Now you are wondering why we are discouraging you from watching the video..Ok, I will tell you why.

It’s a Thirst Trap, yes a trap to make you feel envious,green-eyed,heartburnt,invidiousness…basically it will leave you with a severe feeling of jealousy and dislike for self.

Here is the evidence.

#1.  The girl with a round behind

13700229_1348830061797781_2357109652668892836_n

This girl has an ‘O’ shaped ass, O as in OMG! The only reason this girl was put in the video was to make both men and women jealousy. Those were her strict instructions and she delivered. She is naturally designed with more cushion than needed just for sitting.

#2. 8L just wanted to show off his Light Up LED Shoes

13781684_1349600421720745_4562937605079917994_n

Another trap was 8L’s light-up and glow-in-the-dark sneakers that were popping up in the video just to make you feel bad about your shoes. But 8L for the why, though?

#3. A lot of Mercs just to spite your Toyota

13726794_1345572735456847_3450835673200678215_n

This was a very bold BOSSY statement right to your face. Ok, I know they were not the very top of the range Mercs but the intent is very clear.

A Mercedes-Benz is surmised in one statement: “The Best or Nothing.” It has its long history of bringing new technology innovations to market. And that was his message to you, “I’m the best”

Oh!! You thought those cars were just randomly picked on availability? It was a statement.

#4. All his vana Mainini are too much (Vakanyanya)

13627041_1350544674959653_8610465893211687718_n

Again here he induces that envy in us,showing that his family is a very dependable source for all things hot. He proves this by putting all the hotness in one place just to suck all the cold air in the room and leave you drooling. It was all assets on display.

Team Zimbabwe’s Hollywood success: How it all happened

Zimbabwe sent 4 participants to the World Championships of Performing Arts for the first time in our history with guitarist  Sylent Nqo getting 3 gold medals and 3 silver medals whilst Award winning beatboxer Probeatz won 7 gold medals and Model Timothy Hogo won one gold medal, one silver and one bronze.

But what is the World Championships of Performing Arts

The World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) is the first and only international competition to find and crown the best aspiring performing artists worldwide. This competitive contest which is held annually in Hollywood, California is often referred to as the “Olympics of the Performing Arts”

Here’s how they got to Hollywood

Zaza
Zandile Zaza Ndlovu

Team manager Zaza narrates the journey

Every year I take on a new challenge and it is always centred on the promotion of our local artists this year saw me join and help launch the Zimbabwe Championships Of Performing Arts, ZICOPA.

The World championships of Performing Arts were a new concept that Noone had ever heard of. So as the ground work began of introducing who we were and what we stood for, and being completely self-funded shocked many people.

However due to the economic crisis and high fees that the competition required we lost some of our contestants which was very heartbreaking for us. In my case, it was particularly sad,  because these were artists I had recruited and knew that the level of talent would blow Hollywood expectations.

Reality set in that with only two months to fundraise, we would most likely have a small team. One of the bright moments though was having the support of the US Ambassador to Zimbabwe His Excellency Mr Harry Thomas Jr who had prior knowledge of the World championships.

Visiting the corporate world was a nightmare, as most companies were taking up financial positions to manage the cash crisis. Meaning there were unable to assist our team. Few individuals like businessman Mr Biggie Chinoperekwei and his wife  bought into the vision and gave us financial assistance.

It has been an incredible journey, filled with a mixture of excitement, challenges,  heartbreaks, joy and relief. When we launched ZICOPA many people were skeptical and could not fathom that we could actually operate on the global scale we were talking about, let alone take a team to Hollywood to represent the country.

Did Davido just grabbed Tinashe’s boobs?

Nigerian vocalist Davido ,who in his short career has snatched a great deal of gongs, seems to have aced the craft of getting as he was found on camera seeming, by all accounts, to be snatching Tinashe’s boobs.

Lets get touchy...Davido and Tinashe
Let’s get touchy…Davido and Tinashe

Gracious hold up!!!! It’s shot from a music video in a comfortable position at the shoreline side area where the music video was being recorded.

However, our Zimbabwean beauty is by all accounts getting a charge out of all of it,as she is seen laying cosily on his mid-section.

We await to see whether it was a stray hand or think grab of the boob

The off-camera photographs were posted on Davido’s snap chat, meanwhile, the long rumoured collaboration is titled ‘How Long’

Mmmmmm, simply thinking just ‘How Long’ Davido’s hand kept focused mid-section (That’s me and my envy self)

Tinashe has since shared the snippet of the song on her twitter account.

Exclusive: Xndr and Zaleekhah open up on break up

We can confirm it. They split up..Hip Hop’s Power Couple Zaleekah and Xndr split up..and of course they did it with a hashtag #AboutAyearAgo.

Xndr and Zaleekhah
Xndr and Zaleekhah

It was an eventful day yesterday in Splitsville, Kicked off with numerous phone calls and “Have you seen it yet”

Then they started raining, the screen shots, the cryptic Facebook posts by our Favourite Celebrity Couple that sent haters into a frenzy and sympathisers into “aww what happened…”

The haters, of course, have already started with Faux pas names like Romeo and Julie and Subliminal statuses that are very very clever.

They is even a hashtag #ThisBreakUp

Of course, everyone wants to know

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED to probably the most visual and vocal social media/Celebrity couple we have know for the past 12 months.

Zimbuzz got hold of them and below is what each had to say.

Xndr’s explanation

She broke up with me yesterday (18 July) on our One year anniversary, tried to speak to her but she had already made up her mind. So I left her alone. Anything that I have that she bought is a gift including the laptop she got me for my birthday last December.

I haven’t spoken to her ever since she broke up with me, she’s reached out to my family and friends but we haven’t spoken.

She is blocked on all my social media. She made her decision and I respected it and respect her privacy.

Friends have suggested I unblock her but that won’t change anything because she broke up with me.

So why did you break up

I think that’s an answer we would both want to know. I’m just staying in my lane according to the request that was made. Sad turn of events but one shouldn’t force things.

Judging from my last conversation with her, I wasn’t good enough and she was unhappy, so I didn’t fight her request to break up much because there is nothing worse than holding onto someone you love deeply but you are the reason they are unhappy.

Zaleekhah’s explanation

When you meet someone and fall in love you are convinced you have found your forever mate.

No-one ever plans to break up but here we are. After almost a year together, we have decided to end our relationship.

This is an incredibly difficult decision for both me and Alexander as we have shared more in our time together than most would share in a lifetime. As we both pick up the pieces of our hearts I pray that we heal and find peace.

As our relationship was in the public eye we feel it’s important to let everyone know that no one fought for us harder than we did. We would kindly ask for compassion and respect for privacy as we try to put this chapter of our lives behind us.

So why did you break up?

We had our differences that we could not get past.

At Zimbuzz we shall be very saddened by favourite couple’s split as this one got us right in the feels. It’s sad that we won’t see them matching on the red carpet anymore or these other exclusive parties.
