Good Child releases Delillah and we have many questions about it

Delilah was a woman who used her personal charm and sexual prowess to lure a man to both his spiritual and physical destruction.

According to Bible Gateway,  we are not given any knowledge of her parentage and background save that she came from the valley of Sorek which extended from near Jerusalem to the Mediterranean, and which entrance was beautiful with rare flowers perfuming the air with sweet odors.

Delilah managed to bring to destruction one of the World’s Most powerful man, Ras Samson (Yeh he had about seven locks of hair that were braided together)

Samson was so strong that he tore apart a live lion with his bare hands but was morally weak to resist a drop-dead-curvy Delilah (ok the bible doesn’t say she was curvy..)

Good Child invokes all of these imaginations in a song, Samson representing that powerful chart-topping musician and Delilah that everyday temptation

That’s the latest offering from the Afro Pop singer were he leaves the listener with more haaas? heees? whats?…who could he be referring to or is it just creativity at play.

The cover to the new single Delillah
The cover to the new single Delillah

He sings …..

“She is gonna turn me into a fornicator”

“So she attacks like an alligator”

“She is at every show”

“Chenjerai Delillah she is at every show”

“She says she is burning with desire so she had to let me know”

In the song, Good Child who married Adeva in December 2015 takes you on one of the temptations musicians have to fend off especially when performing away from their family.

“She is at every show.,” he seems to be lamenting. menacing groupies maybe? But again she offers him something “she is burning with desire “ and says will “pay all my bills” if only he could satisfy her sexual thirst.

And oh there is the amazing artwork to the single..we think the fact that their faces are combined together just shows how determined Delilah is to get her target and also how difficult it is for him to resist.

And our question.. Is Delilah real or just a metaphor?

Follow the link below and hear a brother lament about “his” Delilah moments

5 things that have happened since the last time Macheso released an album

The wait is finally over and the speculation has been put to rest Alick Macheso is releasing an album on the 21st of March 2016 titled Tsoka Dzerwendo.

The release of the album will take place at the Harare International Conference Center on March 24.

Some were saying Baba Sharo had lost his creative juices hence we see Jah Prayzah dominating the Kingdom that once was his.

After the ZIMA Awards, we also wrote here on Zimbuzz on how it was imperative for Macheso to release an album, and hella he is.

It’s almost FIVE years since we last heard from Macheso.

And in that period, a hell lot of things have happened.

Here are the 5 things that have happened since the last time Macheso released an Album

Local surgeons separate Siamese twins

A team of 50 doctors broke new ground in 2014  by successfully performing the first major operation on Siamese twins born in April.

The operation was an eight-hour delicate procedure at Harare Children’s Hospital.

And now the twins, who were born sharing the same liver, are healthy and were shown on ZTV kicking a soccer ball in their hood.

It’s been long Baba Sharo.

Miss World Zimbabwe has had Five Queens in Two-year reigns.

Tendai Hunda
Tendai Hunda

We have crowned Five Miss Zim Queens in a space of Two years following a series of dethronement mainly caused by the leaking of the models’ nude pictures.

Thabiso Phiri (Crowned and dethroned in 2014 because of nudes) Catherine Makaya took over (Dethroned just before the World finals, for showing complete disregard for the Trust’s regulations) Tendai Hunda finally the clean one, chosen to represent the country in the 2014 World Finals.

Emily Kachote crowned and dethroned in 2015 because of an alleged nude picture, Annie- Grace Mutambu replaced her and went on to represent the country in China in 2015.

It’s been long Baba Sharo.

Tinopona Katsande and Pokello got married

Elikem paid a reportedly $25 000 pride price
Elikem paid a reportedly $25 000 pride price

They did what they did, then did who they did and now are doing whoever they are doing.

Both girls released sex tapes but as grace would find them (Put your Papa, Prophet, Pastor voice here) the two are now enjoying marital bliss.

And Tin Tin got fired from her job at ZiFM but again as grace would locate her, she had a miracle baby boy and is enjoying the experience of motherhood.

It’s been long Baba Sharo.

Xndr and Zale have taken 280 selfies

We couldn't find a collage make for more a 100 pix ...
We couldn’t find a collage maker for more than 100 pix … so we settled for four

Ok ..could be more than that could be less than that but hey who is counting..we lost count at 92.

We got introduced to a hot new couple in the Showbiz industry Zaleekhah Khan and Anonzi Xndr Mutumha since Macheso and Tafadzwa exited the scene.

I prefer calling them Hip Hop’s Royal couple.

They have had their affection well documented on all social media platforms and have splashed selfies all over them.

Indeed, they have left an indelible memory in the short time we got to know of them, follow them on Instagram here @zali.baby and @anonzixndr

It’s been long Baba Sharo.

And oh… Undertaker has lost a Wrestlemania match

Down and out..The UnderTaker
Down and out..The UnderTaker

On April 6, 2014,  The Undertaker walked into the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, ready to win again.

At 49, The Dead Man — whose real name is Mark William Calaway walked by 21 caskets, all labeled with the names of the fighters he had beaten in the past 21 years of WrestleMania.

There was even a 22nd labeled Brock Lesnar — who he was about to fight.

….The Undertaker attempted to slam Brock Lesnar with a second tombstone (and his throat-slashing gesture), but he countered and took The Undertaker up onto his shoulders.

The Dead Man then was slammed, flat on his face and upper body. Needless to say, in a final 1-2-3 count, the streak was over — and the crowd was shocked.

The Superdome went silent in complete disbelief that they had just witnessed the end of an era.

But Macheso’s era is not about to end….

It’s been long Baba Sharo.

Fungisai: Good Girl gone Dancehall

So this Image of Fungisai Zvakavapano akatyora muzura has made the rounds on social media, attracting some not so very nice jabs at the Gospel, dancehall, artist.

Some have ridiculed her choice of attire, some the POSE itself, some went for her as an artist.

Kana zvamubata...
Kana zvamubata…

Now you may be wondering why all the hulabaloo? Let me give you the backdrop to this particular scene ( May you please look to your left and gaze into the distance as I explain )

The 35-year-old  Makomborero Singer has an impressive 10 albums under her belt  which had her solidly sitting on the Throne of Gospel as Queen until of course the Song Vanondibatirana With Killer T came along and left throngs of fans confused about the new artistic directions their queen had taken.

The fire was then further accelerated when Fungisai said she “was Not a Gospel Musician.” You can imagine the Horror and betrayal that fans must have felt, they had questions like

What had they been listening to all these years?

What then did Fungisai’s lyrics mean when she said Tiyendekudenga?

Personally, it has been interesting to watch Fungisai shove a foot in her mouth over the years, remember when she called uncircumcised men useless? Or when she said she will never work with secular musicians or share a stage with one (Killer T *Coughs*).

Fungisai is known for saying what is on her mind and having the Diva Status Right to change her mind whenever she feels she should do so which has led to several alleged spats with promoters over the years.

BUT back to The picture, it was taken at the ZimDancehall Awards, where she won Best Collaboration for the Song in question and the picture is her on the red carpet, Maybe the Good Girl in her is not so dead after all.

What do you think of her Dress? And Pose?

“That shoe needs Jesus, who wears that kind of shoe in this era,?” writes one fashion blogger, BarefootZim.

Read more here as he delivers his disappointment about Fungisai’s Fashion Boob.

OMG! Brian Nhira just wowed the coaches on The Voice

Brian Nhira just wowed the world with his rendition of Pharrell’s hit single, “Happy” during last night’s blind auditions of the popular USA  talent show The Voice.

Nhira (23) whose family has been travelling the world for sixteen years as part of his father’s ministering, was so good that Pharrell had to say this: “Clearly you sang that song much better than i do.”

We agree with Pharrell on this one.

Find out which EMPIRE cast member is rumoured to be leaving

“Empire” star Trai Byers — who plays Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard’s son Andre on the smash series — wants out of the Fox show, reports Page Six.

Trai Byers
Trai Byers

“Trai wants out,” said an insider. “He feels that he studied at Yale and he’s a ‘true thespian’ . . . The character is beneath him. He has an idea of himself as being this big Shakespearean actor.”

While Byers was ecstatic to land a role on “Empire” in its debut season, sources said he doesn’t agree with the direction the show’s taken.

“At first, being on ‘Empire’ was major for him. But he feels his character is not as important this season, and he hates not being the star,” said a source. “He thinks he has the acting chops of Taraji and Terrence. He doesn’t get how the show benefits him, and he feels he has way too much talent when he’s not the star by any means.”

Now you would love this: Zim music producers who would kill the Lucious Lyon role

Another insider added: “Trai threw a temper tantrum during filming in the past few weeks, saying, ‘I don’t get to do enough, I might leave.’

But producers called his bluff and said, ‘Fine, if you’re not happy, we don’t need you.’ He thinks he is a brilliant guy who deserves a better role, but he’s hardly one of the most popular or dynamic actors on the show.”

Meanwhile, a day after rumors hit that Trai Byers was looking to leave the FOX hit Empire (on which he plays the eldest son of Lucious Lyon) because he’s unhappy with the direction of his role, the actor took to Instagram to clear up the record.

“I don’t normally spend my time dispelling rumors, but there is something I’d like to address. I have nothing but love and respect for Empire and all who are involved in the show,” he writes. “I have a fabulous relationship with FOX, and hold myself to the highest standards professionally.

How could I think of demanding something larger than Andre, where I get to express a man with Bipolar disorder, who is on a spiritual journey to find his identity? I’m so proud, so happy, and so lucky to be a part of this cast. This show has started my career. See you in Season Three!”

We know rappers for their sort of creativity which always leaves us dumbfounded, Mcpotar has given us another of such moments by releasing an animated rap video.

The song is titled ‘The City’ and talks about a young man who is trying to break out of the employee zone and become his own man but is consistently met by  obstacles.

The song features a lady by the name Ivy.

Oskid and the Kid

He is the country’s hottest and most sought after producer and as it looks, he might be on the summit for a very long time to come. But the young music producer is a proud dad to little Marvel Prince Tapfuma ….but we prefer to call him ‘Kid’

Oskid and the Kid
Oskid and the Kid

We loved every cute moment when Oskid rose from his seat holding little ‘Kid’ to go and receive his ZIMA Award for Producer of the Year.  Proud Dad moment! (We still have a crush on that moment)

He might be young (23) but Oskid, real name Prince Tapfuma says he is enjoying every bit of it. (Is he enjoying the stinking work of changing diapers as well ?? Hahaha!!)

With a bundle of joy in the house as well as a bundle of awards (Ya, they can be bundled up) we asked Oskid what it was like being with his ‘Kid.’

Oskid and son Marvel Prince Tapfuma
That cute moment…..

“My son will be turning one in April and family is always my priority, I love them to bits,” he said.

But does he have any hopes of the little man following in his footsteps?

“I want my son to follow his heart and passion, if he doesn’t like music and prefers soccer, it’s fine for me because with my parents I didn’t get the opportunity to do what I really wanted.

“Maybe if I had received support, I would have become famous at 5yrs,” he added

But by the look of things Marvel Prince is already showing some signs of marvellous music ‘talents’.

Rarama Mudendere
Rarama mudendere…..

“My son is amazing he sometimes makes some sounds when I’m listening to music and when he cries I will be backing him up with some instruments, adding some bass to his crying and coming up with a melody.

“I know it’s silly and the mum doesn’t like it at all, but to me it will be a father-son combination, making our music,” he said with a chuckle.
