Warriors threaten to boycott Afcon19 opener

The AFCON 2019 opening match between hosts Egypt and Zimbabwe hangs in the balance following revelations that Zimbabwe players want to boycott the fixture.

This follows the non payment of allowances promised to the players.

According to Zimbuzz sources in the dressing room, temperatures are high and tense as ZIFA tries to sweet talk the resilient Warriors.

“Zifa lied to the boys that they will pay them their money,” said a Zimbuzz source.

“They have not honoured their agreement and the funds that were gathered at the Fundraising dinner didn’t reach us.”

Zifa had agreed to pay the boys usd $9000 each upfront before the Nigeria match but it was never paid.

The remaining usd $6000 was to be paid from the money that was fundraised by President ED.

Instead Zifa opted to fly board of councilors and their unknown hangers on and booked them in luxurious hotels in Egypt without paying the players any cent.

Another source added that unless President Mnangagwa intervenes, the nation faces a global embarrassment.

The match between Egypt and Zimbabwe is already sold out.

Leonard Mapfumo & Tererai Combine Years of Experience on new EDM song

Leonard Mapfumo and Tererai Mugwadi have always been, and will most likely continue to be one of Urban Music’s all-time favourite artists.

Theirs is a well documented musical history, between them they share an isname amount of number one radio hits.

The two have hatched another potential number hit but this time on a rather unfamiliar genre of EDM.

Whilst the genre is a world phenomenon, very few local artists have treaded that road.

Killed it they did!

This was golden Tererai in her finest form and Mapfumo at his rap best.

The song Masimukiro seems to be addressing the topical issue of mental health/depression judging by the video caption and other scenes in the video.

“..finding hope when it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Inspired by the struggle that artists go through when no-one is looking (Double HP),” reads part of the video caption.

The song and lyrics tap into the pulse that controls our emotions with the melody melting right into your soul.
