Dancehall lovers are set to get double for their money as Jamaican star D Major is set to perform alongside countryman at the Together as One show happening tonight at the Glamis Arena.

The two who jetted in on Wednesday together with their band and manager could not hide their excitement to be performing in Zimbabwe.

D Major whose real name is Damian Codlin says through his creativity “wants people to feel good when they hear my music” and we couldn’t agree more.

He is signed to the Big Yard Family, together with Chris Martin, Shaggy to name but a few.

Some of his hit songs include That’s What Loves About, Girl of My dreams, No more Distance,Cant let go,Ready for loving among others.

This promises to be one helluva of a show….

This beautiful Female Rapper and Singer first got a foothold in the industry by engaging herself in major Hip Hop Cipher Battles to perfect her craft at the age of 16.

She then linked up with The Hip Hop genius,Noble Stylz to make the 2 Classic albums “Masofa Panze Vol1 & Vol2” which later became the famous Clique “Masofa Panze.”

Early 2015,Blacperl released her 1st Single #TheyDoThega,which had an All-Star Remix featuring Noble Stylz,Qounfuzed,TraeYung&Stunner.

Her Debut album “MasofaPanzeVol3” was Released 18 October2015 and is believed to have been one of the Best Selling Femcee Albums in Zimbabwe.

That same year she earned 3 Award Nominations the annual Zim Hip Hop Awards (2015) for the Song Of The Year, Best Female, Best Collaboration and scooped the Best Female Award.

The  famous Beauty nicknamed ‘The Hood Queen’ also won Best Hip-Hop Female Artist at  the Zimba Nice Music Awards (2016) and was recently Nominated for the Best Female Award at the 2016 Changamire Music Awards.

Watching the Hood Queen perform is purely magic , she has performed spectacularly at the Mashoko Concert for 16Days Of Activism Against Gender Based Violence(2015) which featured acts such as Tehn Diamond, Shingi Mangoma, and Synik.

She has become a regular at the Shoko Festival from 2014, this Hood Queen is clearly Bossing or should we say Queening.

Believe it or Not, the Rapper is pulling a Nicki Minaj, she is featured in two Local Full-Length Movies to be released this Summer and is currently shooting an Upcoming Tv Drama Series as well as being Presenter of the upcoming Tv Show “The Sound Of Silence”

Her Endorsements range from clothing and style (THE EMPIRE) to Luxurious Shopping organisation Lifestyle Centre.

From Music business, TV Presenting, Emceeing, Event Hosting, Voice Overs to Acting the Young Queen is just getting started and we don’t want her reign to end.

Ti Gonzi dropped his video for the yesteryear hit Zvenyu. We had no idea that the video would be out or even that they would be a video.

We had all but forgotten about the Hit but Ti Gonzi decided to remind us with a  “visual” of Zvenyu. The beauty of it is in its simplicity, several cameos including the P.O Box Reloaded superstar Bhutisi, who come up singing a couple of bars from the Song.

The rest of the scenes are of Ti Gonzi in very colorful ensemble with a couple of his squad and him surrounded by news clippings (Ti Gonzi arrested for stealing 2 keys , Zvenyu vanotenga mabhodoro isu tichingonhonga?)

It’s a good Video but we feel it is long overdue , Simbi inoda kurohwa ichapisa …But Thank You for the Video Ti Gonzi

If you haven’t been infected by the “Sorry Bieber” fever then you really need to stop reading this article . The Song and the video are a Pop culture phenomenon, the choreography alone has resulted in “Remakes” and Parodies .

We wrote about the Bollywood version and then Lo and behold we Bumped into this African Gem , The Title is a grabby one “Ghetto Kids dance to Justin Bieber Sorry”

The choreography sticks to the original one but it has that African flare that OOMPH you only get when you are built for rhythm.

There is a little bit of everything in this video, the setting is very Original encompasses the feel of what I feel Africa is ….The Great Outdoors with wonderful brightness, it shows a great way of doing your chores .

 

PS  Can we Please have a Zim one? A little bit of Clarks , little breakdancing ,  A Jerusarema  move here and there?  No? okay.

As expected, Harare brought down the house during the province’s preliminary competitions of the Jibiika Dance Festival.

The venue New – Theatre in the Park in Harare Gardens,provided a compact atmosphere as Harare’s dance queens and kings translated their vitalities in free-flowing-liquid-like moves.

If you still doubted the power of dance to unite,inspire and empower the young people in our societies,then you need to avail yourself to one of these competitions.

They all came out in their various costumes,elaborate makeup,bone breaking moves,all in the hope of getting the spot on the final competitions to be held in Mutare.

The competition was stiff but all the participants danced their way into the hearts of the appreciative audience.

You probably have seen it by  now the Terms and Conditions video which erbody and their ex-bestie is talking about.

Juwela pulled a surprising stunt of changing from Zim dancehall to Afro-pop …and  it seems to suit her, her first offering of this type of music seems to go down better than the dancehall tip anyway  back to the video .

 

1) Imagery – We love the  white background reminds us of  a certain single ladies song  including the  two back up camera that  Ju Ju has on the  video . The concept was  a bit here and there …is it her killing the dance moves? Or her and that Kings bodyguard fellow? (Dj Gwyte is that  you) We preferred the  scene where you  looked like the TOTAL African DIVA you  are .

2) Choreography – We can see where you were trying to take this Juwela , we really  do  but we don’t think the  girls behind got the  memo.

Individually they killed but together eish its another article . We smell the  hand of John Cole in that choreography but he must be too busy with  Mukoko to claim them Dances huh .

 

3) Fashion – This was a rough one, the team argued back and forth over  this  some saying that the  African print worn by the dancers was a waste of thread and others saying it was Courageous of you to try and and pull a Beyoncé

But we All agreed that the  Yellow goddess dress was the SUMMIT of  all the outfits. We really don’t know what to say about the  racoon/Goth look we are not fashion forward like that .

 

4) The song – is pure fire we  need to hear it across all radio stations

 

All in  all we like the  video ,  the song is definitely on our favourite list . We love how totally confident you are in  front of the camera can’t wait  to see you perform. You have the IT factor that will give all these others a run for their money

Pokello’s newborn baby is the coolest kid in town as he is rolling in some expensive wheels known as  the Mima Xari Argento Stroller.

The pram currently costs $1,424 on the Babysden website and is a 2016 limited edition.

Having being born to the Queen of Swagger it is only befitting that the newborn is feted to such royal treatment

The pram was bought by maverick businessman Wicknell Chivhayo and the celebrity couple made the revelation on Pokello’s Instagram profile by posting the picture below.

On Friday the 29th of April Christopher Martin will walk to the platform at the Glamis Arena and grab the microphone to give passionate Zimbabweans the soul food that only he can dish out.

Chris Martin shot to instant stardom shortly after winning the coveted Digicel Rising Stars title in 2005, and has ever since, released one hit song after another.

What makes us excited about this gig is the fact that Red Rose Entertainment is bringing into the country a proven hit maker,someone who has more hit songs than you can count.

We will be graced by one of the world’s biggests stars.

Tickets have already been slashed from $15 to $10 for a general admission and the crooner is touching down at the Harare International Airpot on Wednesday.

We tried to come up with 5 top songs we loved ,what a difficult task we gave ourselves but we managed to come up with this.

Baby I love You – A sweet lovers’ selection by Christopher Martin on DJ Frass’ Diamonds and Gold Riddim.

Cheaters Prayer – I know a lot of guys who have made this prayer and still are. Very controversial prayer Chris Martin made there but we love the song nonetheless.

Let her go – This reggae rendition is what we call PERFECTION, it makes you feel the vibe of the song as if you were having  a conversation.

Paper Lovin – Off the Cardiac Bass riddim and probably the best on that riddim, the message was as rude as it is true – If you can’t love me now,don’t love me later ,when my later is much greater.

Girlfriends – Off the Heart and Soul riddim, produced and released in 2011 but still as relevant and exciting as it was then.

How we left off on Season 5

There were some shocking developments at the end of Season 5, including Jon Snow’s bloody fate at the hands of Castle Black mutineers, Daenerys’ near-demise at the fighting pits of Meereen, and Cersei’s public humiliation on the streets of King’s Landing – survivors from all parts of Westeros and Essos regroup to press forward, inexorably, towards their uncertain individual fates.

 

How its looking on Season 6

In addition to a poster featuring a bloodied Jon Snow and a few shots in the HBO end of year promotional video, Game of Thrones has released the first big teaser for Season 6 of the hit drama, which features voiceover from Bran, not to mention another creepy teaser set in the House of Black and White.

By the time we got the first footage from the new season, the showrunners were adamant that Jon Snow is dead, and we even get to see him laid out on a slab of brick.

Season 6 will see familiar faces forging  new alliances to bolster their strategic chances at survival, while there will be new characters that will emerge to challenge the balance of power in the east, west, north and south.

Winter is definitly coming.
