#TuesBeauty: 5 Common Makeup Mistakes (And How to Fix Them)

Wearing makeup was made to accentuate one’s beauty not to wear a whole new face. However, some women end up looking like the woman next door just by failing to master the art of makeup.

Meeting the same person in a week, you would swear you met seven different faces.

Such women turn all heads towards them as they walk the streets, not because they’d be looking good but because they’ll be looking like clowns in the middle of a circus.

Well, ladies, I guess it would be great to give each other a few pointers to the mistakes we tend to make, such that we stop clowning with our looks.

1.Choosing the wrong colour/shade of foundation or powder for your skin tone Most women haven’t yet mastered what colour goes with their skin tone. They tend to pick anything they lay their hands on.

Makeup comes in different shades for different skin tones. Allow a professional make-up artist to help you choose a suitable shade for your skin tone.

2.Failure to master face shape, and following makeup trends and forgetting what suits them. Do not just follow makeup trends that come, all makeup techniques serve a purpose. Let’s take for instance Contouring is for making those with fuller faces look slimmer, however, if you already have a slim face, if you go hard on your contouring it will only do more harm than good and will make you look thin.

Highlighting on the cheekbone is to accentuate the cheekbone, if you already have an emphasised cheekbone why do it.Leave it for those that really need to do it.

3.Wearing make-up for the wrong time of the day. Some women wear evening make-up during the day. I’m sure most of you are wondering if there is a difference between day and evening make-up.

The answer is, yes there is, there are some rules pertaining to make-up, no smoky eye during the day as well as some colours are not to be worn during the day.

For a day look one has to wear natural or earthy colours, therefore every lady must own a nude eye shadow palette for the day looks. Bright colours for your eyes are ok for an evening look.

You find some ladies wanting to match their outfits with their eyeshadows. I know the idea may sound cool but sadly it’s an N to the O, NO!!

4.Drifting away from the natural look; ladies let’s maintain a natural look and avoid looking dramatic.

Always follow the shape of your natural eyebrows and avoid the new unnatural inventions like ‘squiggle, braided, feather and MacDonald’s brows, except when we intend to be dramatic for instance for Colour-photographic makeup. Creative can be problematic for the natural look.

5. Last but not least, using black eyeliner for eyebrows. Ladies please, always use brown eyeliner for your eyebrows to keep them looking as natural as possible. Eyebrows are the most important part of your make-up application. Eyebrows have the loudest voice. It is the first thing that people notice before they even notice you.

Let’s seek tips from make-up professionals or fellow sisters and avoid giving these men more reasons to hate our make-up.

Stunner Is Clinging To His Crown As King Of Zim Hip Hop : Stray Bullet Review

So as has been reported earlier on this site multi-award winning hip hop artist Stunner released his latest nine track album Stray Bullet last Thursday.

Stunner

Now veering towards two decades in the rap game it’s certainly true that he is still remarkably anticontempary prospect of his peers.

Seen it and done it all, he has everything to prove on this great masterpiece. He is already an iconic megastar of the highest order in Zimbabwean music with a discography that has an array of hot-banging pickup tunes.

A fully-fledged stunt man himself, his focus is mainly on preserving his own monetary interest than paying attention to petty feuds.

Well, that doesn’t mean that he cannot throw a shade or two every time he has a chance to. That much he does at least enough to give “irrelevant people” the limelight.

Thematically, Stray Bullet is balanced between love, hustle socially-conscious, and braggadocio songs.

The latter is prevalent in rap music, but when Stunner adopts it with his swag delivery; he has got endorsements and numbers to back it up.

His life is an open book and his reality is refreshingly gimmick-free, an antithesis to many rappers whose charm relies on their foot-in-mouth tendencies and pure lies.

Songs like “They Know” and “Mune Mari Here” are evidence that this rapper’s multi-layered introspection offers more depth and focus across a longer time span.

Sonically, it’s a genre hopping project that vacillates between dance/pop sound bed and new age hip-hop beats.

Technically, the Godo hit maker raps with no less dexterity than he did on his last project If I Die Tonight (Akarohwa Mari and I need Money.)

Self-aware as ever (Stray Bullet), however, the kickback is swift and brutal (Zvinei Nemi and Musatifinhure)

In all this Stunner also allows room for a gang of promising up-and-coming such as Episode, Pessh, Boom Beto and Element B to provide some diverse flavours.

All rendered awesome contributions, but Pessh, by virtue of her being the only female feature, definitely has the stellar one.

Appearing on the beautiful ballad “Follow Me” she’s delicate, smooth and perfectly atmospheric, an inspired choice.

Well, all in all, Stray Bullet is actually an undeniable masterpiece.

The Zimbabwean hip hop community may never openly admit that Stunner has taken the hip-hop reign, but his consistently strong projects make argument for him.

Cast him as an urban groover, but truth be told, Stray Bullet is yet another notch in his catalogue that might just make his contemporaries, specifically the young, to understand it’s time to really start putting in work.

Until an heir apparently steps up, this album confirms Stunner is clinging to his crown as king of Zimbabwean rap, against all odds.

Dione and her mother-in-law are the coolest family in showbiz right now, the two have a new found bond  — they love to colour-coordinate their clothes.

Dionne alongside Stunner’s Mother

The two showed just how much they are getting along when they both stepped on the red carpet during Stunner’s album launch wearing identical red colour.

A pregnant Dionne looked very comfortable alongside her mother-in-law as she followed proceedings from her fiance’s album launch tonight at the Alliance Française in Harare.

This was the first time that Stunner’s mother was seeing his son perform live in a career than spans more than a decade.

Video: Tatenda Mahachi, Tuku in a Masterpiece Collaboration

Award winning Gospel artist Tatenda Mahachi expanded his repertoire beyond the traditional sound and allowed youthful producer Mcdonald Chidavanezi to knit together the hit song.

The song Ndisiye brings together two of the country’s most gifted songwriters on a masterpiece that should last the test of time.

Dr Oliver Mtukudzi and Tatenda Mahachi

The song is a perfect collaboration as it sees both artists sharing equal vocal responsibility, allowing each other to bring the best out of their souls

The video which was shot by award winning director Vusa Blaqs had the main shots done at the Rainbow Towers lounge located on the 14th floor of the hotel.

Already making the heavy rotation on radio, the song comes with a creative video.

Ndisiye chronicles the struggles of an alcoholic man whose marriage is falling apart because of this indulgence.

The wife decides to leave the marriage realising that she was just by herself in the relationship with a man who just found new love in clear beer.

In the nick of time the man awakens and realised that the flesh of his flesh and bone of his bones had left him, and besides the bed she left a message written ‘Find God, Find Me’

He decided to run after his wife to save the marriage.

In the video, Mahachi exhibited his acting skills as he plays the role of the drunkard man.

“Whenever you are accorded a chance to collaborate with a living legend like Dr Tuku, a man who is known globally, you need to summon all your creative genius, and a good listening ear to come up with a song that will touch lives,” explains Mahachi.

The song has a simple message which was derived from James 4v7 which says ..Resist the Devil and he will flee from You.

Rapper Tiara Shows us How Many inches she Prefer

We all have hair but it doesn’t have as many inches and luxurious texture as that of rap Goddess Tiara Baluti.

The sexy star took to Facebook yesterday to show off her long weave in a video captioned “aint no cheap ass weave” we don’t know whom the message was targeted at.

Inches ???☺️

Posted by Tiara Tinie Baluti on Tuesday, September 5, 2017

We have seen Tiara in some sensual dressing and steamy dance moves in videos, she at times has shown more skin to our satisfaction but a bathroom selfie is one bold move.

Or maybe she had just flushed another of her old weaves in the toilet. Anyhows we just love how she is playing with her inches…you got inches girl
