Three women we would love to see enter the Longest Kiss competition

I’m sure by now we all have heard about Zimbabwe’s attempt to set an African record for the longest kiss.

If you were not aware CLICK HERE for the full story so you can catch up.

To take up the challenge is  comrade Chinotimba who confirmed his participation as early as late January.

So in that kissing mood here are three personalities we would love to see in the competition.

Tilda Moyo

It’s a Tuesday Night on Star FM around 11 pm and Tilda Moyo issues that warning for kids to be tucked in bed… then you know kuti chachaya.

With Pah Chihera’s ‘Runonzi Rudo’ playing in the background, Tilda will hit it in vernacular.

Tilda Moyo

Now imagine those explicit sexual words being spoken of in Ndebele or Shona. Can you deal?

For that reason, Tilda qualifies to enter the Longest Kiss Competition for she always asks those hard hitting questions to her listeners now it’s time we see how much Sexual Wisdom he has amassed all this time while interviewing people.

Mai Chisamba

Mai-chisamba
Mai Chisamba

We have seen many Talk Show hosts come and go but Mai Chisamba has managed to hold her fort for many years now.

In her formative years as a Talk show host, her TV programme was called Today’s Woman/Mudzimai waNhasi and later on renamed Mai Chisamba Show.

The show tackles a lot of wide-ranging issues especially in our communities including Health, Love, Religion, Social Service delivery and even debates about mini-skirts.

Mai Chisamba now has a column in The Sunday Mail called Mudzimba na Mai Chisamba where she responds to letters mainly of a marital/relationship nature.

The above reason makes her a great candidate to enter the longest kiss competition, well she has the wisdom that’s why she gives it out in a national paper we definitely would like to see her demonstrate it.

Mai Gunguwo

Mai Gunguwo
Mai Gunguwo

Oh dear, where do I even begin!

She is the queen of the Bedroom Gospel or simply put X-rated sermons.

Just like Tilda Moyo, her sermons are in the mother tongue, a brave woman I should say.

For your indulgence just Google her sermons on YouTube. (Listener discretion is strongly advised)

In one of her sermons, she tells the ladies not to walk around in the streets smelling of womanhood. Now picture that being said in Shona!!!!

In another, she strongly rebukes woman who behaves like logs in bed. (We are told one of a log’s characteristic is: motionless wood, only moves if pushed or carried usually by a human being)

I can boldly declare that of all the candidates Mai Gunguwo is highly qualified to take part in the Longest Kiss competition.

But before she does that, someone please read out the rules for her as clearly as you can. And also mention that the competition involves KISSING ONLY. (Great emphasis on ONLY)

‘Step up in Love with Jibilika’

Jibilika Dance Trust will this Saturday host a cypher that has been love themed – Step-Up in Love.

The event will involve a lot of dancing, music, beatboxing amongst a host of other performances fused with a positive and entertaining message.

The event is being sponsored by The U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) with kind support from Joina City.

We caught up with Jibilika founder Plot Makho and he had this to say.

“This is a special edition of the Jibilika Cypher since last year we decided to host one that connects Valentine’s to the HIV awareness initiative.”

“We believe there is more love and Valentine’s Day is one day where we can take the time to remind each other of the essence of love, the need to be aware, protect yourself, be faithful and love the next person despite their HIV status,” he said.

Jibilika has been hosting the Step Up to HIV awareness campaign in various parts of the country where they package an HIV awareness message in a way that identifies with pop culture.

The approach has seen the campaign grow from just a Harare event but to other provinces around the country.

The event is happening at the Joina City this Saturday  from 1 to 4 pm and admission is absolutely free

5 signs your Zimbabwean man is going to propose this Valentine’s

The biggest date night is upon us and someone might just get that ring this Valentine’s. For some of us, this is the only time we get to evaluate where we stand in a relationship.

No one can blame a girl for hoping.

Here are 5 signs your man is going to propose this valentine’s

He has been very protective of his phone

No he isn’t cheating he just don’t want you ruining the surprise, so please stay away from his phone at least until this Sunday.

Your friend/sister has been acting little weird.

Now Zimbabweans are good at keeping secrets but if you know your friends very well you might have picked that little kookiness behaviour. Of course, she is part of the plan so again don’t ruin the surprise.

Last year you attended more than two weddings together.

We all know how Zimbabweans love to wed in December and you had a few invites which you honoured. This is it!

You know he doesn’t attend weddings in your company but you broke the record and went to two wedding together.

If at all he was critiquing what the bridal team was wearing, trust me the brother has a wedding in mind.

Last year he quizzed you about your jewellery

If at any time in 2015 you had a discussion about jewellery, your ring preferences,designer-engagement-ring the shape and size, the brother has been planning for a Valentine’s proposal.

If any of your rings is missing or was missing, or if he went window shopping with you and paid extra attention each time you stopped by any jewellery items, that’s it he is popping the question.

Has he been playing Celine Dion or Trevor Dongo lately?

Face it my girls there are lots of albums he could be listening to, Gafa Life, Jerusarema but he chose Celine and Trevor! The poor soul is gathering courage and is going to propose

If you have seen any or all of the above signs then make sure your manicure is on fleek!!!
